Kalamata Olives
Kalamata Olives are probably the most well-known Greek olives that can only be found in the southern part of Peloponnese and west Central Greece. Due to the larger leaves of Kalamata olive tree, compared to other types of olive trees, it absorbs more sunshine, giving the fruit its dark purple color, dense texture, and unique flavor, some compare to the finest wines.
Green Olives
Green Chalkidiki Olives are grown exclusively in Northern Greece, and specifically in the area of Chalkidiki. These fresh olives come in sizes from Large to Atlas, have an oval shape, and their color ranges from bright to pale green. They predominate over the other types of green olives in quality and taste, harvested while still young in September-October, and processed through brine curing, to remove bitterness and give them a firmer meat texture.
Chalkidikis Green Stuffed
Green olives of Chalkidiki are the ideal olives for stuffing, due to their large size. They are stuffed only by hand, with a wide range of natural ingredients, such as red pepper, almond, garlic, Jalapeno, sun dried tomatoes, orange, and lemon. The sharpness of the olive fruit perfectly blends with the natural aromas of the freshly chopped fruits and vegetables, creating a pleasant culinary surprise.
Black Natural Olives
Black Natural Olives can be found in various places of Greece, mainly in Central and West Greece. One of the most known varieties however is “Amfissa” black olives. Amfissa olives have a mild fruity flavor, soft texture, round shape and a deep purple to black color.
Natural Green Olives
Natural Green Olives come from “Amfissa” variety, a popular green variety that grows exclusively in the regions of Central Greece. They have a small round shape, and a straw-green to yellow-green color, due to their early collection before getting black.
Blonde Kalamata Olives
Blonde Kalamata Olives originate from Kalamata in Greece. This olive variety comes in different sizes, and it has a brown green color and a crunchy flesh.
Greek Green Cracked Olives
"Tsakistes" Olives are another common type of olive that can be found in Greece. The word “tsakistes” actually means, “cracked,” a name given to the product due to its wrinkled appearance.
Greek Green Olives for Heroes
Τhe olives for "Heroes" are the ultimate choice for those who always look for XXL. These olives are natural with an asymmetrical shape, brown-green color, and bitter-grassy taste.
Dried olives
Naturally Dried Olives mature naturally, without any human intervention. They are left to ripen and wrinkled on the branch of the tree, and when they are fully matured, they are collected by nets that are placed under the trees.
